Medi-cal eligibility if employer benefits available?

Medi-cal eligibility depends on how much money you make (or don't). I don't think it matters if the employer offers benefits, but it might. I just can't imagine that working for an employer that could afford to offer benefits would pay her so little as to qualify for eligibility.
