My montegrappa fountain pen doesnt start writing right away and then often skips. what can i do?

it's got a medium nib and the workshop has said nothing is wrong. it happens with all different inks. i've cleaned and rinsed the nib, this doesn't help. it happens less on more textured paper than on very smooth paper, but this is not constant. driving me nuts because the pen is so beautiful
