Why does America hate overweight people?

It doesn't mean they can't be pretty. It doesn't mean they can't be smart. It doesn't mean they don't take care of themselves. It doesn't always mean they don't exercise. Just because someone's overweight doesn't mean they're any less deserving of respect or civility.
