Ever found a toothpaste that does what it says it is suppose to?

I have always wanted white teeth but I don't have the money to have them whitened at the dentist. I have tried Crest and Colgate toothpaste that are suppose to whiten teeth. However they never do anything. I have also tried the Colgate whitening gel which did the trick but now I can't seem to find it anywhere. I guess it is no longer made or whatever. But in any case I can't use the Crest Whitestips because my teeth are not perfectly straight. So Im just wondering if there are any other toothpaste out there that you have tried and has really whitened your teeth. Thanks.
