Housing Benefit Problem?

Yes you'll still receive the housing benefit from the date of your claim but if you have moved out it is likely the council will pay it straight to the landlord if they have his/her details. If not it will be paid to you but you will be advised that this must be paid to the landlord and isn't for you to keep.
