My net-book makes little peeps - do I need to worry?

I have a Dell net-book (Inspiron Mini) and very infrequently it makes a little high pitched peep. This is odd because it is not like it does this so often i should know what it means. Is anything going on that I should worry about? I'm quite careful with it.
