Feline who scoops water out of bowl making a mess. Help!?

Get a drinkwell pet fountain from petco. The cat will drink from a fountain of water and not play in it as much as she would a bowl. My cat did the exact same thing but he wouldn't give up until the bowl was completely empty. The fountain solved all my problems. It also filters the water.
